The Dog House Rescue and Adoption takes in a rehabilitates Dogs and Cats that would otherwise be euthanized at local shelters and animal control facilities. Finds homes for them after all their medical care is complete-helps to subsidise low cost spay and neuter programs-Assists the elderly in keeping the pets they have and when the time arises caring for the pets that are left behind and placing them in new homes. We work with local women's shelters-women at risk who need to give up a dog or cat so they can move to somewhere safe. Have a volunteer groups of local Girl Scouts who come to assist with adoption days-learn about spay and neuter and pet overpopulation. And a new program is developing with the pairing foster dogs and prison inmates for socialization-companionship and training. We are a state licensed shelter and 501(c)3.
