The WPWR-TV Channel 50 Foundation was incorporated and endowed in 1992 as an extension of WPWR-TVs mission to serve the communities of greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in those communities that work in the arts arts education for children
