The purpose of the Grover L. Hartman Center at DePauw University is to strengthen and sustain the institution's commitment to community service and to promote a life-long ethic to serve. The mission is to integrate the University volunteer service program into the academic program under the umbrella of service learning. The Hartman Center promotes civic responsibility through offering workshops and seminars on community involvement community need
