Goals 2000 Parent Information and Resource Center - Local direct services and state-wide resources which support parents in their roles as nurturers and primary teachers of their children and which strengthen partnerships between parents and their children's educational settings and promote linkages between public and private programs. A majority of the funding must be used to serve families who are economically- or educationally- disadvantaged or have linited English proficiency. Waiting Room Program: delivery of parenting information and parent-child activities to families waiting to apply for social services and income supports within county government buildings.
