Fighting to change harsh new immigration laws. Supporting immigrant families in deportation. Lobbying legislators to amend sections refering to "aggravated felonies". Retroactivity of law is inhumane and adds punishments to law abiding immigrants who paid for minor crimes years ago. This retroactivity violates basic human rights and flies in the face of equal protection under the law that the Bill of Rights affords all people.
