The Boston Private Industry Council is a business-led intermediary organization that connects the youth and adults of Boston to education and employment opportunities to meet the demands of employers in a changing economy. PIC identifies labor and skill shortages that are critical to Boston's economic health and then crafts educational and workforce initiatives to respond to the pressing business demands of key employers and local residents. PIC initiatives thrive on the synergy created when employer needs and community needs overlap. Businesses develop the workforce they need and Boston residents gain access to career opportunities and higher incomes.
