Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL) strengthens families and communities through affordable homeownership.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and in-kind services and materials HFHGL builds and/or renovates homes for families earning between 25 and 50 percent of the area median income level. Families are required to make monthly mortgage payments on a no-interest loan.

Families also contribute hundreds of volunteers hours building their homes and the homes of other HFHGL partner families. This is called "sweat equity."
