Breakthrough works with talented but underserved students from public middle schools in Wake County. We use college and high school aged students to serve as teachers and give our students the academic and social skills they will need to suceed in rigorous college preparatory high school programs. Students participate in three summer institutes and two school year programs from the summer after their sixth grade year to the summer after their eighth grade year.
