To provide supportive Employment and Training Services for the benefit of older workers (age 55 and better!) and employers. SMS Services operates the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) or Title V which provides 20 hours per week of paid (current Oregon minimum wage) community service work experience training for unemployed low income (125% poverty level) seniors age 55 and better. Training is at gov't and non-profit agencies for one to 18 months. Training at private sector businesses also available for up to 3 months
