The mission of the Texas Inmate Families Association (TIFA) is to: provide educational resources and information for inmates' family members; inform state elected officials and the general public about the effects of the criminal justice system upon the inmates' family members and the offenders themselves; remove the stigma associated with being family members of offenders through educational programs; and strengthen existing family relationships if to do so will not cause further harm to family members.
