The National Federation of Business & Professional Women (BPW/USA) was founded in Washington DC in 1919. BPW/WA was established in 1921 as part of the National Federation. Their joint mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy education and information. Individuals join BPW through a local organization which comes together for regular meetings and special programs. Members are encouraged to meet new people
