To provide one on one matching of academic mentors with children participating in our after-school academic enrichment program. Volunteers establish a relationship with their assigned child and help them with their homework while showing them how to envision better future. Children range in age from 1st grade through 12th grade. Academic mentors are asked to spend 2 hours per week at the after school site with their child. As the relationship develops the opportunity to spend time with their child for community outings exists.
