Our mission is to improve the quality of life for inner city families by providing dance fitness, health and nutrition educational workshops, and tutoring in English, math and science using a multicultural performing arts experience and education.

Since June 1, 2000, the Academy of International Dance (AIDANCE) has provided thousands of children ranging from ages 3 to 17 an enriching after-school program that broadens their horizon by teaching them and their family health, nutrition, fitness and wisdom. Founder and Executive Director, Sonia Velazquez-Miskulin, had a vision of building a bridge that would connect the world to inner city children through the performing arts.The academy has expanded its program in order to provide students a unique program that not only trains them to reach higher levels of dance and staying fit, but also to better their health knowledge, improve their understanding about nutrition, and academic achievement.It is the only dance school of its kind in Orange County that provides education of the world through dance and teaches children to embrace the similarities they have with other cultures.
