A non-profit program providing free, subsidized, and low-cost diapers to families earning between 133-200% of the federal poverty line.
Over 225,000 Houston-area families earning less than 200% of the federal poverty line have a child in diapers.
Diapers are a significant cost for most families, averaging about $800 per child per year -- even more for families who cannot afford to buy in bulk.
Families who qualify for Medicaid can receive diapers through The Diaper Foundation in Houston, but those families who qualify for CHIP do not. We seek to serve that population earning between 133%-200% of the poverty line, who currently struggle with painful decisions that often lead to diaper rashes and infections. We are an all-volunteer organization. If you are able to help, we accept donations of diapers and wipes, volunteerism, as well as financial contributions.
We are also currently accepting donations of auction items/services.If you need help, contact us to apply.Families in which at least one parent is pursuing some form of education (high school, GED, trade school, or higher ed) can apply to receive a 50% subsidy of the already lowered bulk price.
Families in which neither parent is pursuing education but who meet the income guidelines may purchase diapers at-cost, a significant savings over store prices (about 50% cheaper.)
